Tried their hottest burger here, it was actually really good! It had some Carolina Reaper and a kind of Ghost Pepper sauce if I remember correctly.

This low-key diner has become a family staple when my family is in Post falls and craving breakfast. The service is always friendly, consistent and speedy. The menu items we would normally order are the "The Mess", the "Crab Omelet" and their delicious crepes. The crepes alone are enough for us to keep coming back, but the family friendly atmosphere and kind servers are what push our experience over the top!

Always great food and service. Avid 2nd amendment supporter which encourages carrying (open or concealed) in their restaurant.

The food is delicious when they get it right but that has only happened 1 out of the 4 times I have been there. 2 of the other times I stopped in for breakfast there was hair in my food and the last time there was a ceramic in my scrambled eggs. Each time I told my server and there was quick I’m sorry but nothing was done.

I absolutely love this place! I tell all of my friends and co-workers about it. The food is great and the service is amazing. Shout out to Maria! She's our favorite. Not many places actually provide the feel that this place does. Your not just a customer.Update: Over the years this has become my family's favorite place. I can't express enough how grateful I am for you guys. Maria is amazing and my son loves her. The first thing he asks when we walk in the door of he doesn't see her "is Maria here?". I recently had some medical issues and cannot have red meat. They made my favorite dish, chicken fried steak, with chicken instead and it was just as amazing if not better! I worked in the food service industry many years ago and it makes me sad to see the service most establishments give. Dueling Irons is a hidden gem, you feel like family!!

Best breakfast by far!!! Fresh hot and great service. Great table for my big family of 7. Will definitely be our go to place for great breakfast! Great prices also. Traditional mess and the meat lovers mess were fanatic. My daughters order there crepes and they were the best we’ve ever had. Great tasting filling.

15% off your meal if you open carry, do I need to say more? The chicken fried steak was amazing, the red potatoes and gravy both complimented the meal well l. The portion was generous and I left happy and content. If I were going to pick at anything the sour dough might have well been quite bread and was a bit overcooked. The bread is the ONLY reason they aren't getting 5 stars.

Best dinner around! It exceeded my expectations. Prices are way below what they should be charging. Food was excellent, service was attentive and friendly. Do yourself a favor and order the best banana split of your life.

Great people, Great food, Great place!! Love their burgers, Reuben, and Dueling Irons Melt. Along with everything on the breakfast menu. Great seniors menu as well. I am pretty sure there is not a more friendly atmosphere in town. Oh, and the coffee is good too. And they bring flavored creamers with it, which is unique and nice.

Seriously the best quality food around. Great prices and awesome hometown atmosphere. Most of their ingredients are locally sourced. Even the Mayo and Ranch is home made 🤤 yes please

Had heard good things about this diner, but after eating there today, will not repeat the experience. Wait staff was attentive but food was less than good. Daughter had a hamburger that was dry and overdone, husband had the Reuben and it was so bad he couldn't eat it. The meat was shredded and tough. Both meals came with fries, or better described as potato wedges, they were over spiced with cayenne, garlic and season salt. Each one of them ate one "fry" and no more. I had a waffle which was less than lukewarm in arrival to the table, butter wouldn't even melt and the maple syrup left a terrible aftertaste. The only reason there are 2 stars is the wait staff otherwise I would have given then 1.

Great service, good food, and very welcoming staff. The red potatoes were seasoned nicely and the gravy on the country fried steak was delicious. My mom and I really enjoyed our breakfast and plan on returning to try lunch next weekend.

This is a fantastic breakfast spot! Even with social distancing and half capacity, the wait to be seated was less than 15 minutes. Once seated, coffee was nearly immediately on the table which is a huge deal for coffee powered people! We had two servers, one seasoned and a trainee. Both were pleasant and could match wits with me, which also is no small feat. Menu was compact and simple but still offered enough variety for everyone. My evaluation standard of any restaurant is their CFS (chicken fried steak). Usually, it’s just a frozen, pre-formed party of bland, processed meat. Not here. This was a house made steak, very well prepared under the perfect amount of sausage gravy. Biscuits were house made, too. Portion sizes were generous and prices were reasonable that made this meal a great value. Oh, if you’re in to your 2A, this place was offering a 15% discount for anyone open carrying. Some will HATE this but it plays well in North Idaho. Can’t speak highly enough of this place!!

Head breakfast this morning, the food was good. I enjoyed my experience there. I would recommend and I'll be back again

Burger wasn't bad, but their fries and sauce are amazing!!! Don't get me wrong, the burger on Chibata bread was amazing, just too much meat for one sitting

Always great food! No qualifications, just great food, every single time! Atmosphere is classic diner, which is what you'd expect from a breakfast/brunch type place. Personally, not a huge fan of the open-carry, but I was born and raised in north Idaho so the general flavor of crazy isn't too worrisome. Very friendly staff!

Servers and service was great the food not so much. Cesar dressing is supper fishy the corned beef is dry and not the best. Server is the only reason it was worth it. Very nice polite and knows how to treat her customers.

My sweet daughter took me here for lunch today. My daughter and son in law have always raved about the great food and awesome service here. Boy were they right! I had the dueling irons sandwich with fries, it was absolutely a delicious savory scrumptious experience! The host and waitress were exceptional, so friendly and took care of us with a smile. I definitely recommend Dueling Irons, it's a local favorite and now I know why!!

My wife and I went to the Dueling Irons for their dinner. I would have to say that I wasn't surprised that it was an excellent dinner. My wife ordered the calamari fettuccine, and I ordered the pot roast. We topped it off with the banana split for dessert. The best banana split I have ever had, but we were two people short on finishing it off, the item is huge....family size.

Very friendly waitress . The chef even came out to make sure everything was good with us. I had chicken fried steak with good lumpy homemade garlic mashed potatoes and my husband got alfredo . We also really appreciate a business that respects our 2nd amendment rights.

I went here recently because a few friends had recommended this restaurant. I was not disappointed. My server was extremely polite and efficient. Food came out fresh and fast with no lack in quality. I have got to say definitely one of my favorite places to get breakfast in Post Falls. Although we had to wait to be seated because they where so busy, we had a nice area to sit and wait without feeling crowded. Also i love that they support our right to open carry our guns, you get a discount. ( I'm not sure if the discount is everyday)

Prompt service. Good menu selection for breakfast. I had corned beef hash, not my favorite but all the people in my party had meals and they all were prepared well and were reported as being great. Biscuits and gravy are really good and kid approved. Will be back but not for the corn beef hash. Also they support my second amendment right and give discounts for people who open carry or who are uniformed first responders.

Typical breakfast diner. Breakfast was good. I had the Meat Scramble. It came out quick and arrived hot. Service was prompt and Alisha checked on me a couple of times. Bill was presented when I was ready and payment was processed quickly.

Casual atmosphere. Restaurant looks a little tired but cookin' up some "tasty vittles". Priced right with a strong variety menu. One of my hubby's favorite places for breakfast. Always a friendly staff. Offering a 15% discount when you open carry. Here in ID, locals appreciate that.

I was a former chef, Culinary Institute trained, in my younger days...wayyyy younger days. Not the point. The point is that the food here was a very pleasant surprise. The tastes were original, not something blobbed out of a food service can, and very nicely done. Not over-seasoned but good complimentary flavors. That's hard to do folks. Add a bunch of spices and then have each spice still recognizable? Ha; mere mortals never will.The wait staff were nice, the greeter very nice and friendly. We went once and were hypnotized...shocked being the real word.... going back now regularly. That says it all right?

What can I say, good service and wait staff, food was prompt and hot. The food was good but not great. I do not automatically give 5 stars. Typically a place is three stars and earn their way to one or five stars. This was above average a fun place to stop and a few good stories related to the place. So stop by kick back, eat a few ribs and enjoy.

The food was ok, nothing to write home about...kinda bland for me. The waitress really wasn't very friendly but good prices and big plates. My husband and our Tia liked it

Bad service and bland food. We heard rave reviews about this place and when we visited, we were disappointed. We ordered steak and eggs and the pulled pork breakfast burrito, both were bland, poorly seasoned, and just disappointing. Plus, they're not even trying to accommodate social distancing. Between that, the slow and bad service, and the entirely underwhelming food, we won't be back.

Great food and awesome service. Like this place a lot, the food is delicious and the staff seems to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Everyone is greeted warmly, and the regulars are greeted by name by both staff and other regulars. Have not experienced a wait to be seated, but I would imagine they can get busy.

I've been meaning to try this place for months now... I wasn't disappointed! Fantastic customer service and literally delicious food! I had "the Random" and omg! So much flavor and good texture! I definitely recommend this place for good food and a delicious price.
